In order to practice the physical layer techniques, we will use a hardware called Softwared-define radio (SDR) to do the labs. They are available at ECE Instrumentation/Parts Room (E 104). Please checkout two SDR for each group - one for receiver and one of transmitter. When you go to the Parts Room, just mention that you’re taking Dr. Song’s wonderful wireless networking class. They should be happy to give you the boxes.

NOTE: The devices are quite expensive - roughly $3,000+ each. Be sure to take care of your loaned devices. In another words, you will be responsible for any charges/penalties, if any damage is caused by you.
